We are seeking an experienced and motivated Dietary Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our Dietary Department at our long-term care nursing facility in Staten Island, NY. Requirements

Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in the Dietary Department of a nursing home or long-term care facility (Required)
Knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutrition standards
Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and Department of Health regulations
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Experience with scheduling and supervising dietary staff

Responsibilities

Supervise the daily operations of the Dietary Department
Lead, train, schedule, and support dietary aides, cooks, and food service staff
Ensure meals are prepared and served according to physician-prescribed diets and resident preferences
Maintain compliance with Department of Health regulations, OSHA standards, and infection control policies
Monitor food quality, portion control, and meal presentation
Conduct kitchen inspections to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met
Assist with menu planning and special dietary accommodations in collaboration with the Registered Dietitian
Manage inventory, food ordering, and supply levels
Complete temperature logs, sanitation records, and department documentation
Work closely with Nursing, Administration, and other departments to ensure excellent resident care
