Requirements

Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification required.
Strong knowledge of therapeutic diets, food safety standards, and long-term care regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Passion for providing outstanding service to residents and supporting a collaborative team culture.

Nice To Haves

Previous supervisory experience in a skilled nursing facility, post-acute care, rehabilitation center, or healthcare dietary department preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise the daily operations of the Dietary Department.
Ensure meals are prepared and served according to physician-ordered diets and approved menus.
Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local dietary, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
Oversee food preparation, meal service, sanitation, and quality assurance.
Train, mentor, and support dietary staff while promoting teamwork and accountability.
Monitor food temperatures, sanitation procedures, and infection control practices.
Assist with menu implementation, inventory management, purchasing, and cost control.
Collaborate with nursing, administration, and the interdisciplinary care team to meet residents' nutritional needs.
Participate in state survey readiness and regulatory compliance activities.
Maintain accurate department records and documentation.
