About The Position
Abbey Senior Health, located on the campus of the Village of St. Mary’s – O’Fallon, is a 55-bed skilled nursing facility dedicated to providing exceptional care to aging adults in a faith-based environment. We are currently seeking a compassionate and dependable Full-Time Server to join our dedicated Dietary team. The Server plays a vital role in enhancing the dining experience for our residents by providing friendly, attentive, and high-quality service.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a server or in a similar role
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and manage a high-volume workload
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills
- Compassion and respect for seniors in a healthcare setting
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and guests with professionalism and warmth
- Take meal orders and serve food and beverages accurately and efficiently
- Make menu recommendations and answer questions about food selections
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including setting and clearing tables
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
