About The Position

Assists in the preparation, serving, and clean up of meals. Properly washes and sanitizes all dishes, assists in tray line assembly, and delivers food carts to dining rooms. Properly disposes of refuse, cleans and sanitizes dining rooms, dish room, and kitchen. Supports the Mission, Vision, and values of Woodside Senior Communities. Is knowledgeable of resident rights and ensures an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity, and well-being of all residents/tenants in a safe, secure environment. Observes care in ensuring the confidentiality of all data, including resident, employee, and operations data as required by HIPAA/HITECH regulations. Abides by all applicable statutes and regulations through compliance with the Woodside Corporate Compliance and Ethics Program. Completes requirements for in-service training. Completes other tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have the ability to plan and organize work effectively

• Some knowledge of therapeutic diets, food safety, and sanitation

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves meals and beverages according to prepared menus, prescribed diets of residents, or dietary requests.
• Transports and retrieves dietary carts to unit dining rooms.
• Sets up each dining room before each meal and cleans up after each meal.
• Makes snacks and sandwiches for stocking fridges in nursing stations.
• Uses dish washer and garbage disposal.
• Cleans and sanitizes work area.
• Monitors the kitchen and dining rooms for any needed supplies and restocks when necessary.
• Follows posted cleaning schedule.
