Reporting directly to the Nutrition Services Supervisor, responsible for all aspects of patient and retail meal service. This includes setup and stocking of workstations, food preparation, assembly and service of patient and retail meals, and attention to special requirements for modified and restricted diets for patient meals. The role also involves the delivery and retrieval of patient trays and supplies, cleaning and sanitation of work areas, equipment, dishes, and utensils, and the use of commercial kitchen equipment. A strong knowledge and application of safe food handling practices are essential, along with maintaining safety and sanitation standards of the work area. Effective communication and providing excellent patient and family-centered care and service are also key aspects of this position.
