About The Position

Legacy Nursing & Rehabilitation of Bryan is looking for a dependable, caring, and experienced Dietary Cook to join our team! This role involves preparing and serving quality, appetizing meals and snacks for residents while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen. The Dietary team plays an important role in making residents feel comfortable, cared for, and at home, and a well-prepared meal can be one of the best parts of their day.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
• A high school diploma

Responsibilities

• Preparing meals according to established menus and recipes
• Preparing resident meal trays, substitutions, snacks, and special nourishments
• Helping ensure meals are prepared accurately and served on time
• Following resident tray cards and dietary instructions
• Monitoring and recording food and equipment temperatures
• Properly labeling, dating, storing, and rotating food and supplies
• Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen and work area
• Helping keep meal service organized and running smoothly
• Working alongside Dietary Aides, Dishwashers, and the Dietary Manager
• Following food safety, sanitation, and facility standards
• Helping create a positive dining experience for our residents
