About The Position

Moraga Post Acute is seeking a reliable and experienced Dietary Cook to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality, nutritious meals that meet physician orders, dietary guidelines, and resident preferences. Your work will play an important role in enhancing resident satisfaction and overall well-being. PACS is revolutionizing the delivery and leadership of post-acute healthcare and support services across the country. Requirements

  • Previous cooking experience in a healthcare or food service setting required
  • Knowledge of dietary restrictions and food safety standards
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Food Handler’s Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and dietary requirements
  • Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines
  • Ensure meals accommodate special diets (e.g., diabetic, low-sodium, texture-modified)
  • Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices
  • Monitor and record food temperatures to ensure safety compliance
  • Assist with tray line and meal service as needed
  • Keep kitchen and cooking areas clean, organized, and well-maintained
  • Work collaboratively with dietary staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Support inventory management, ordering, and proper stock rotation
