About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring an on-call Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. The role involves cooking to planned menus and recipes, maintaining food quality and presentation, following food safety and sanitation guidelines, and helping keep the kitchen clean and orderly. The Cook also assists with inventory and supply ordering and provides positive customer service to residents, staff, and guests. The listed pay rate is $19.00–$20.00 per hour; actual wages may vary based on location, experience, staffing needs, and other business reasons.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
Able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
Able to work around food and cleaning products.
Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required when mandated by State or County law.
Residency within the service area is required.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.

Responsibilities
