Prepares food in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, with established policies and procedures. This role involves three day shifts (breakfast and lunch) and two dinner shifts per week, with required weekend availability. The cook will work with the Dietitian/Director of Food Services, implement changes as required, and perform administrative tasks such as completing necessary forms and reports. The position also includes assisting in establishing food service production lines, processing diet changes, preparing and serving appetizing meals, maintaining portion control, preparing bedtime snacks, and ensuring substitute foods are available for residents who refuse served foods. Additionally, the role involves assisting with and directing daily cleaning duties, preparing food for special events, ensuring adequate stock levels of food and supplies, and recommending equipment and supply needs.
