About The Position

Lorien Taneytown is hiring a Dietary Cook to join our dynamic team! We’re looking for a cheerful, enthusiastic cook who loves to experiment with new cooking techniques and bring fresh ideas to our dietary operations. If you take pride in preparing delicious, nutritious meals and enjoy making a positive impact on residents’ daily dining experience, this is the role for you!

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older to apply

  • Previous cooking experience in a healthcare or assisted living setting is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences
  • Incorporate new cooking methods and techniques to enhance menu offerings
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
  • Follow portioning, serving, and food safety standards
  • Work closely with the dietary team to ensure smooth, efficient meal service
  • Create enjoyable dining experiences for residents with quality, presentation, and taste
