About The Position
Sunnyvale Gardens Post Acute is seeking a skilled and reliable Dietary Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare nutritious, high-quality meals that meet the specific dietary needs of our residents in a healthcare setting.
Requirements
- Required experience cooking in a healthcare environment (e.g., skilled nursing, assisted living, or hospital).
- Understanding of therapeutic diets, texture modifications, and food safety regulations.
- Ability to read recipes, manage time efficiently, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work the early morning shift (4:30 AM) and participate in the weekend rotation.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes and prescribed therapeutic diets.
- Ensure proper portion control and appealing food presentation for residents.
- Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards in the kitchen.
- Set up workstations and prepare ingredients for daily meal services.
- Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and work areas throughout the shift.
