Requirements

Previous cooking experience required
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines accurately
Strong attention to detail and organization
Ability to work independently and as part of a team at Marion Assisted Living
Excellent time management and multitasking skills
Dependable, compassionate, and resident-focused mindset

Nice To Haves

Experience in healthcare or senior living preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to menus and standardized recipes at Marion Assisted Living
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with dietary restrictions and special diets (low sodium, diabetic, etc.)
Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation at Marion Assisted Living
Follow all sanitation, safety, and infection control procedures
Assist with food prep, portioning, and serving meals to residents
Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and rotation (FIFO)
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at Marion Assisted Living
Work collaboratively with the dietary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Assist with inventory and notify leadership of supply needs
Support special events and resident dining experiences at Marion Assisted Living
