This position is responsible for providing assistance in all food functions as directed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures. The main responsibility is capturing meal orders for residents and guests. The goal is to provide great food that invokes happiness and joy. This role involves greeting guests, explaining the menu and ordering process, taking meal orders, acquiring resident and guest preferences, collaborating with the RDN or Exec Chef on input in the Nutrition Management program, printing meal production sheets and meal tickets, and updating the daily menu for dining rooms. Additionally, the role includes assisting with serving meals that are palatable and appetizing, and preparing and serving food and snacks in accordance with established portion control procedures, sanitary regulations, and established policies and procedures.
