About The Position
Optalis Health & Rehabilitation is looking for a Dietary Aide full time and part time to join our team. Our Dietary Aides provide food service to our residents focusing the needs of each resident during meal times. Dietary Aides work with the Cooks and Dietary manager to make sure our residents nutrition needs are met. The Culinary Team Member supports the preparation, serving, and delivery of meals while maintaining a safe, sanitary, and organized kitchen. This role contributes to quality nutrition services, resident satisfaction, and cleaning of dining rooms and work areas.
Requirements
- Knowledge of food service safety and sanitation.
- Customer Service
- Organizational and teamwork skills.
- Communication abilities to support staff and residents.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Food service or kitchen experience in healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing meals according to menus and standardized recipes.
- Support meal service and tray delivery to residents.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, equipment, and utensils.
- Store food and supplies properly, rotating stock to minimize waste.
- Follow infection control and food safety policies.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with survey and regulatory requirements.
