About The Position

The Dietary Aide will assists in the assembly, preparation and clean-up of patient meal trays. Work is performed in kitchen areas where the steam and heat from cooking and dishwashing equipment often cause uncomfortably high temperatures and humidity. Food service workers are regularly exposed to hot liquids, sharp cutting blades, hot working surfaces and extreme temperature changes when entering walk-in refrigeration units. Performs work requiring light to moderate physical effort. Subject to continuous standing and walking, and frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and bending. Frequently lifts or moves objects weighing up to 20 pounds unassisted and occasionally lift or move objects weighing more than 40 pounds with the assistance of others. We're glad you're here. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent highly preferred
  • Previous food service experience preferred
  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math skills required
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to work with pre-defined time frames and deadlines
  • Variable hours, schedule to be determined by Supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the assembly, preparation and clean-up of patient meal trays
  • Sets up work station with correct supplies/food items
  • Assembles meal trays accurately using meal ticket and diet restrictions
  • Daily, weekly and monthly cleaning assignments
  • Follows Food Code and HACCP principles
  • Performs other duties assigned by your Supervisor
