About The Position
As a Dietary Aide, you will assist with meal preparation, service, and kitchen operations while maintaining a clean and sanitary environment. Your role ensures residents receive meals that meet their dietary needs in a safe and welcoming setting.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Reliable transportation required
- Must obtain and maintain a Food Handler’s Certificate
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Compassion for the geriatric population
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in a healthcare or food service setting preferred
Responsibilities
- Set up and distribute meal trays according to dietary guidelines
- Assist with meal service and food preparation
- Clear trays, wash dishes, and operate the dishwasher
- Monitor and record dishwasher temperature and sanitation levels
- Prepare snacks and nourishments
- Sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen and dining areas
- Clean kitchen surfaces, equipment, and storage areas
- Store food and supplies safely and neatly
- Remove trash and maintain cleanliness throughout shift
- Follow all food safety and infection control procedures
- Assist the cook and dietary supervisor as needed
