About The Position
Serves high-quality, nourishing meals, snacks, and beverages to residents at Belvedere Senior Housing in Merrillville, IN, considering their dietary preferences and restrictions. This part-time, 2nd shift position involves preparing dining areas to be clean and welcoming, assisting in maintaining a sanitary and organized kitchen while adhering to safety and sanitation protocols, and engaging with residents compassionately to foster a supportive environment.
Requirements
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Completion of ServSafe Food Handler Certification within 90 days of start
- Must demonstrate the ability to serve with love, compassion, and dignity
Responsibilities
- Serves high-quality, nourishing meals, snacks, and beverages to our residents in consideration of dietary preferences and restrictions
- Prepares dining areas, providing a clean and welcoming environment for resident social gathering and meals
- Assists in maintaining a sanitary and organized kitchen while ensuring compliance to safety and sanitation protocols
- Engages with residents in a compassionate and impactful manner, cultivating a warm and supportive environment where the values of love, compassion, and dignity are reflected in every interaction
