Dietary Aide
About The Position
Silver Lake Hospital of Newark, NJ is seeking to hire a part time Dietary Aide to assist with food preparation and the delivery of meals to our patients. Dietary Aides will work a variety of shifts (AM/PM/Weekends), 8 hour shifts per day. Silver Lake Hospital is a long-term acute care hospital with a reputation of providing patients with a place to heal before heading home. A long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) is an acute care specialty hospital that provides highly advanced and focused care for higher acuity patients who have not responded to short-term treatment in traditional general hospitals. The average length of stay in an LTACH is 25 days as compared to a 3-5 day stay in a general hospital. Our safe and state of the art hospital is designed to admit and care for the most critically ill patients.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Required to work every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday)
Nice To Haves
- Minimum one (1) year food service experience in a health care dietary setting
- ServSafe and/or Sanitary Food Handling Certificate
