About The Position

Morningstar Living is currently hiring a full-time, Dietary Aide for our Moravian Hall Square Campus in Nazareth, PA. This opportunity is day shift, 5:30am-2:00pm, with an every other weekend requirement.

Requirements

Must have the ability to interact well with elderly residents and staff.
Must have basic knowledge of food quality and nutrition.
Willingness to perform repetitive tasks; possess a cooperative, reliable attitude.
Demonstrates good communication skills with staff and management.
Must have the ability to follow and produce necessary food items in accordance of the use of a standardized recipe.
Must possess basic math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

One year previous experience with food preparation and food service preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of duties including cold food production for resident meals, nourishment's, and assist in the Health and Wellness dining room.
Cleaning equipment, utensils, etc. and his/her work area.
Assist in the serving of breakfast tray-line for Health Care.
Use daily food production logs and recipes to produce menu items in correct portions and amounts.
Prepare salads, desserts and fruit for Health Care and Galilee dinner and supper.
Serve residents in cooperation with nursing staff and according to resident preferences and diet order.
Complete knowledge of menu and daily specials.
Knowledge of modified consistency dietary needs.
