About The Position
Anam Memory Care | Rockford, Illinois Anam Care and Anam Glen, a dedicated assisted living and dementia care community in Rockford, Illinois, is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our growing team. The Dietary Aide plays an important role in providing nutritious, appealing meals while helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment for our residents.
Requirements
- Previous food service experience preferred; 1+ year of experience is a plus
- Food Sanitation Certificate required
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Compassionate and respectful approach when working with older adults
- Willingness and desire to learn new skills and procedures
- Ability to follow instructions and established food safety practices
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing and cooking meals according to established menus and recipes
- Serve meals and beverages to residents in a timely, courteous, and respectful manner
- Assist with meal setup and ensure dining areas are properly prepared before meals
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dining areas, equipment, and workspaces
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and other kitchen items
- Properly store food and supplies and assist with inventory as needed
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Work cooperatively with dietary and care staff to meet the needs of our residents
- Provide friendly and compassionate service to residents during meal times
- Perform other duties as assigned
