About The Position

St. Catherine of Siena Hospital, affiliated with Catholic Health, is located in Smithtown, NY on a beautiful 110-acre campus that includes a 290-bed community hospital, a 240-bed nursing and rehabilitation facility, and a 60,000 sq. ft. medical office building. SCS is engaged with error reduction initiatives and on a journey to High Reliability. We have been recognized in superior care in stroke and sepsis patients, have also recently attained Center of Excellence in Bariatric Surgery, and have been designated as the only Baby Friendly hospital in Suffolk County. This position involves plating and serving food to patients and sanitation responsibilities in the kitchen and pantries.

Requirements

• High school graduate, GED or relevant experience
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Able to lift, bend, and turn.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to push heavy food carts
• Must be able to work quickly, accurately, and efficiently

Nice To Haves

• Food service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Plating and serving food to patients
• Sanitation responsibilities in kitchen and pantries
• May be required to crouch and kneel to dispose of refuse and mop floors
