About The Position

The Dietary Aide is responsible for serving meals timely and ensuring they are appetizing in appearance. This role involves performing proper table setting, setting up meal trays and food cards, and serving resident meals in the dining room, private dining room, and delivering trays to resident's rooms/apartments. The position also includes performing dishwashing and cleaning procedures, ensuring utensils are readily available, and adhering to safety regulations and precautions. Additionally, the Dietary Aide assists in daily or scheduled cleaning duties and ensures all dietary procedures and food preparation follow sanitary regulations, established policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
  • On-the-job training provided.
  • Previous experience in food service preferred.
  • Previous experience working in long-term care or with the geriatric population preferred.
  • Must possess outstanding communication skills and be able to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Must possess superior customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
  • Prepares food in accordance with sanitary regulations as well as established policies and procedures.
