Temporary Casual Dietary Aide
About The Position
Bobier Villa is a 57-bed long-term care facility nestled in the community of Dutton in the Municipality of Dutton/Dunwich, just 20 minutes west of London, Ontario. Bobier Villa offers 24-hour nursing care, private and basic accommodation, sitting areas, expansive gardens, a large water feature, and gazebos. Whitelock Place serves as a gathering area for residents, family members and guests and hosts a wide variety of recreational and spiritual programs in a beautiful home-like setting. As a Dietary Aide, you will be responsible for basic food preparation, assisting the Cook where needed, and handling food in accordance with safety and sanitary regulations. You will also be responsible for service of food, setting and clearing tables, and receiving goods delivered to the dietary department. Attention to detail is key, as you will keep accurate records while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment (knowing the proper procedures for operating and cleaning all equipment, utensils, work services, etc. used in food service areas).
Requirements
- Successful completion or enrollment in a Food Service Worker program meeting the requirements of the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021
- Current Safe Food Handling Certificate
- A passion for serving others and providing quality care
- Excellent communication skills
- Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening that is satisfactory to the County of Elgin
- Satisfactory 2-step Tuberculosis (TB) screening documentation
