Dietary Aide at Senior Care Center
About The Position
Meadowbrook Village Christian Retirement Community is seeking a compassionate and dependable Dietary Aide to join their team in Escondido. This role is part of the dining team working in the Oasis kitchen, which serves residents in the skilled nursing and memory care units. The position involves assisting the chef/cook with plating and serving breakfast, preparing food for other meals, washing and sanitizing dishes, and other related duties. The job requires high attention to detail due to dietary orders and restrictions, despite being low-volume. The dietary aide is expected to adhere to all federal and state regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Success in this role requires being detail-oriented, professional, communicative, and having an enjoyment for the food service industry.
Requirements
- Able to pass a fingerprinted criminal background check (no prior convictions).
- Able to pass a health screening, TB test, and drug test.
- Able to lift at least 40 lbs.
- Able to work on feet.
- Able to bend, stretch, pull, push, etc. as needed for kitchen tasks.
- Maintain great punctuality and attendance.
- Available to work on holidays.
- Able to comprehend English language sufficient for understanding written information such as labels & instructions and spoken communication from supervisor and co-workers.
Responsibilities
- Assist the chef/cook in plating and serving breakfast.
- Prep food for other meals as directed.
- Wash and sanitize dishes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Follow all federal & state regulations and company policies & procedures.
