About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital – Orlando Central is a 31-bed free-standing critical illness recovery hospital. We specialize in helping critically ill patients breathe, speak, eat, walk and think as independently as possible. Our hospital also offers medical rehabilitation through Select Medical Rehabilitation, a 32-bed acute rehabilitation unit. The unit is designed to meet an individual’s rehabilitation needs and goals through a range of programs and services. The unit is located within Select Specialty Hospital – Orlando Central.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous healthcare food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of patient food services, dining room services and dish room services.
Be an integral part of the food preparations, serving of the prepared food to patients, families, staff and visitors and assisting in clean up.
Be timely and efficient when preparing food.
Provide high quality food preparation and service.
Complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without compromising the quality of work.
Volunteer to help in other areas of the kitchen when necessary.
Operate equipment and perform related duties in a safe manner.
