About The Position

River Hospital is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our Dietary team working part-time. Pay is based on years of relevant healthcare dietary experience and education. The primary responsibilities include preparing, servicing, and delivering food to patients, visitors, and employees, while maintaining a safe and clean environment for food preparation, servicing, and delivery.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• General knowledge of food preparation, portion serving and Knowledge of Special Diets.
• It is the employee’s responsibility to know the requirements for certification, limited permit and licensure for their individual profession.
• It is also the responsibility of the employee to notify the employer of the status of any certification or licensure issue or potential issue.
• The employee will comply with all of the requirements outlined by the New York State Office of professions for the particular profession.

Nice To Haves

• One (1) year institutional experience as a cook or assistant cook in a healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, service and deliver food to patients, visitors and employees as directed.
• Provide a safe and clean environment for the preparation, servicing and delivery of food products.
