About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Dietary Aide to prepare and serve meals for residents in a long-term care facility. The role contributes to providing nutritious meals and supporting positive resident and customer experiences as part of a dedicated team. The Dietary Aide also performs kitchen sanitation and food safety tasks and communicates with residents, staff, guests, facility administration, and HCSG leadership.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Previous experience in food service or a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification, as required by state or county law.
Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
Serve meals to residents according to their dietary needs and portion sizes.
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
