About The Position
Orchard Post Acute is seeking a dependable and compassionate Part-Time Dietary Aide to join our dietary services team. This position plays an important role in providing residents with nutritious meals and excellent service in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Requirements
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Dependable, organized, and attentive to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and carry dietary supplies.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
Nice To Haves
- Previous food service or healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing and serving meals to residents.
- Follow resident diet orders, portion guidelines, and meal schedules.
- Prepare dining areas, food trays, beverages, and meal carts.
- Deliver and collect resident meal trays in a timely manner.
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, dining areas, and food service equipment.
- Properly store food and supplies according to safety guidelines.
- Follow infection control, food-handling, and sanitation procedures.
- Provide friendly and respectful service to residents, visitors, and team members.
- Report resident concerns or dietary issues to the Dietary Supervisor or nursing staff.
- Perform additional dietary duties as assigned.
