Requirements
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- 6 Months of previous adult caregiving OR dietary aide experience.
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
- Compassionate nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Responsibilities
- Assist cooks in preparing meals, portioning food, and assembling meal trays according to specific dietary orders
- Deliver food trays to patient rooms or dining areas, collect used dishes, and ensure residents' needs are met
- Work with a team of physicians, RNs, LPNs, CNAs and aides to deliver excellent patient care
- Wash dishes, sanitize kitchen equipment, wipe down tables, and dispose of food waste following infection control policies.
- Interact with residents in a caring manner, accommodating preferences where possible and reporting feedback to the supervising dietitian.
