About The Position

At Old Vineyard Behavioral Health Services, we are helping to create brighter, healthier futures for our patients and their families. We are the Piedmont Triad's only private psychiatric hospital meeting the chemical dependency illnesses and behavioral healthcare needs of those in our community. Our 164-bed inpatient services for adolescents through senior adulthood offers comprehensive and individual assessments, psychiatric evaluation and medication stabilization, daily group therapy and personalized aftercare planning. We also offer a Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program to ensure the continuum of care for our patients. Old Vineyard is accredited by The Joint Commission and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. We are passionate about our work and are looking for individuals who share in this passion. We are currently seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to join our talented and caring team. Our ideal candidate will possess the ability to work in a diverse environment with focus on patient and customer service, building and maintaining positive working relationships with all hospital staff and demonstrating professional, effective communication skills. The preferred candidate will have a proven background of success in the healthcare industry in both service and kitchen environments. The Dietary Aide is responsible for: Transporting and serving meals to facility patients and staff. Washing dishes, trays and other cooking utensils. Performing general cleaning duties (sweeping, mopping, trash removal, cleaning of drink machines, cooking equipment, etc.) to maintain a safe and healthy kitchen and food service area as well as to remain in compliance with Health Department regulations. Role is physically demanding and position requires assisting with the unloading of food delivery and storage in proper location. Individuals considered for this position must have a friendly and outgoing attitude, must be service-oriented and willing to go beyond the general expectations to please the customer and have a positive team approach to accomplishing tasks.

Requirements

  • ServSafe Certification required, or willing to obtain within 90-days of employment
  • Background Check and Drug Screen required for employment
  • Must have active NC Driver's License free of major infractions

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in Healthcare Dietary Services helpful, but not required
  • Demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including male and female adolescents and adults, as well as dually diagnosed adults.
