About The Position
NorthCrest Specialty Care, a 94-bed long-term care skilled nursing community located in Waterloo, IA, is now hiring a Dietary Aide. This role is part of the dietary team and offers full-time days with every other weekend. The position is with Care Initiatives, which operates over 40 skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa. The company is looking for dedicated and empathetic individuals to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others during their healthcare journey.
Requirements
- Demonstrated skills in quantity food preparation and service.
- Willingness to complete training in Food, Safety, Sanitation and Modified Diets.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a healthcare dietary setting a plus!
Responsibilities
- Performing all duties related to food table service including serving hot and cold food portions to residents
- Completing the set up and clearing of tables, as well as transporting food carts
- Bringing trays to rooms while delivering exceptional customer service
- Cleaning duties while maintaining safe and sanitary work areas
