Dietary Aide
About The Position
John Knox Manor is hiring a dietary aide on a 4 days on- 2 days off schedule. A Dietary Aide is a health professional who helps prepare and cook meals for residents. Their duties include preparing food dishes, working the tray line, and maintaining the cleanliness of the work area. A dietary aide ensures patients menu selections are in compliance with prescribed diet order, nutritional adequacy, age, cultural background, and religious practice. This role supports the activities of the dietary manager. AM aides will work from 6am-2:30pm. PM aides will work from 11am-7:30pm.
Requirements
- Must be able to work a 4 days on - 2 days off schedule
- Must be able to work either AM shift (6am-2:30pm) or PM shift (11am-7:30pm)
Responsibilities
- Prepares food dishes
- Works the tray line
- Maintains the cleanliness of the work area
- Ensures patients menu selections are in compliance with prescribed diet order, nutritional adequacy, age, cultural background, and religious practice
- Supports the activities of the dietary manager
