The Dietary Aide is responsible for various tasks within the food service department, determined by the needs of the shift. This role reports to the Cook and Dietary Supervisor. The position requires the ability to learn food service routines quickly, set up meal trays, wash dishes, assist with serving meals, and prepare nourishments and snacks. The aide will also be responsible for maintaining kitchen cleanliness, including sweeping, mopping, carrying out trash, putting away groceries, and cleaning work surfaces and refrigerators. Participation in staff training and cooperation with other departments are also key aspects of the role.
