Requirements
- Must be able to communicate with, be interested in, and have compassion for the elderly.
- Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written, in the English language.
- Must be able to read menus.
- Should have good organizational skills to meet deadlines and goals.
- Needs to have the ability to work in a team environment both in dietary and the overall health care team.
- Must be able to maintain professional composure under stressful conditions and situations.
- Ability to read, write, understand and speak the English language.
- Must be able to clear fingerprints through DOJ and FBI in addition to a drug screen clearance.
Nice To Haves
- One year of food service experience as a diet aide, preferably in senior living/health center or institutional food service department
Responsibilities
- Set up and serve meals to residents in the St. Paul’s Manor in an expeditious and courteous manner.
- Sets up tray service (dishes, flatware, glasses, etc) and carts for the residents.
- Portions out desserts, salads, soup and cereals for each resident diet.
- Serves hot and cold foods while adhering to portion controls and diet modifications.
- Transports carts to and from the Manor.
