The Dietary Aide is responsible for various tasks in the dietary department, determined by the needs of the shift. This role reports to the Cook and Dietary Supervisor. The position involves learning food service routines, preparing and serving meals, maintaining dishwashing equipment, preparing nourishments and snacks, and ensuring the kitchen is clean and sanitary. The aide will also be responsible for putting away groceries, cleaning work surfaces and refrigerators, maintaining floors, and cooperating with personnel in all departments. Participation in the orientation and training of new dietary staff is also expected.
