About The Position

Riddle Village, a lifecare retirement community, is seeking Dietary Aides to join our dining department team on a part-time basis. The Dietary Aide participates in all aspects of meal service in Monticello Skilled Care and Personal Care areas, including food preparation, service, and clean-up in accordance with established regulations and facility policies and procedures. Safe food handling, correct portion size, and quality service techniques for the dining room and room trays will be followed. He/she ensures that food is attractive and palatable and is served in correct portion sizes at proper temperatures according to physician-specified diet orders.

Requirements

Must be 16 years old or older
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must have the ability to perform basic math calculations
Must have the ability to organize and prioritize workloads to meet established time deadlines and the needs of the department
Must be able to follow verbal and written directions
Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
Must have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills
Must have a genuine interest in working with the elderly, including those with disabilities and special needs
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, both individually and as part of a team
Unless hired for a pool position, Must be able to work a schedule that includes every other weekend.
Must be able to stand on hard surfaces for long periods; endure high heat, high humidity levels, and high noise levels; have the ability to bend, reach and grasp, and lift 40 pounds.
