About The Position
Martha & Mary in Poulsbo, WA is looking for a FULL TIME Dietary Aide to join their team. Martha and Mary has been caring for children, seniors and families in Greater Kitsap for over 135 years, offering a wide continuum of care services. As a non-profit, faith-based organization, they are dedicated to delivering high quality, compassionate care. The Dietary Aide will work with the professional dining service team and will receive on-the-job training. Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining kitchen work areas and keeping equipment, utensils and food plates clean and orderly.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Wash food preparation work tables, walls, refrigerators, and refrigerated walk-in storage.
- Remove garbage from kitchen area and clean garbage containers.
- Assist in food/meal delivery and tray retrieval.
- Operate an industrial size dishwasher.
- Prepare coffee and hot water.
- Ensure liquids are thickened appropriately when needed and served at proper temperatures.
- Prepare trays for residents and ensure accuracy in terms of diet and thickness of liquid.
- Provides general stocking duties in service area.
- Breaks down stations at end of meal periods.
- Restock beverage areas.
- Any other duties as assigned.
