About The Position
The Dining Ambassador (Dietary Aide) is responsible for taking food and beverage orders, delivering them, and ensuring resident satisfaction and quality standards are met. This role involves assisting with table bussing and resetting, providing efficient food delivery, and overseeing fellow dining services aides to maintain excellent customer service, safety, and proper handling of dishes. The position also requires adherence to sanitation methods, ethical standards, corporate compliance, and confidentiality of resident and employee information. The Dietary Aide performs duties as directed by the Dining Supervisor and/or Food Operations Manager.
Requirements
- Must have or currently be eligible for a high school diploma or GED
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- High degree of service orientation
- Positive attitude
- Must be able to multi-task
- Must have flexibility with schedule
- Must enjoy working with the senior population
- Must be able to lift 30lbs
- Must be able stand for at least 3.5 hours

Responsibilities
- Taking food orders and delivering beverage orders.
- Ensuring resident satisfaction and that quality standards and service are being delivered.
- Assisting in bussing and resetting tables.
- Providing quick, efficient, and pleasant delivery of food.
- Overseeing and assisting fellow dining services aides to ensure good customer service, safety, and proper handling of dishes, glassware, and utensils.
- Following proper sanitation methods for cleaning and storage of dishes.
- Performing duties according to the highest ethical and moral standards and in adherence with the facility’s corporate compliance plan and all applicable governing laws.
- Adhering to the facility’s confidentiality statement in accessing and safeguarding protected health information (PHI) of residents and employees as necessary to perform job duties.
- Performing any other functions as directed by the Dining Supervisor and/or Food Operations Manager.
