About The Position

Blakehurst is seeking hospitality-focused Diet Aides to join their team. They will provide outstanding service to residents and will be given all the necessary tools and training. Blakehurst is a Life Plan Community on a 40-acre campus in Towson, MD, serving over 300 seniors. The company focuses on enriching the lives of residents and investing in its employees.

Requirements

• Create positive interactions with seniors.
• Follow instructions, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
• Understands measurements.
• Ability to plan and organize work, follow diet orders, and interpret specifications and standards.
• Able to be on your feet for extended periods of time with the ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility.
• Some of the roles in our community also require that we ask about your vaccination status.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in senior living food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves meals in the various dining rooms.
• Transport hot and cold foods to and from the health center.
• Assists with clean up and sanitation.
