The Dietary Aide is responsible for following department procedures for tray assembly, utilizing weights and measures for proper portioning, and assisting on the tray line and delivering trays to patients. The role also involves adhering to all sanitation and food safety guidelines, washing dishes, coordinating area duties for timeliness, and operating a cash register when working in the cafeteria. Additionally, the Dietary Aide will assist in training new staff members and attend department-specific and mandatory hospital-wide in-service programs. Availability to work weekends and rotating holidays is required.
