About The Position

South Port Square, a 40-acre campus in Port Charlotte, is seeking a hospitality-driven professional to join their growing team as a Dietary Aide. The Dietary Aide is responsible for preparing and serving therapeutic diet trays to health center residents in accordance with posted therapeutic diet menus. The role involves maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment, adhering to dress codes, and participating in training sessions. The company emphasizes a strong work ethic, a positive impact on residents' lives, and creating an environment of trust and transparency.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Previous experience in nursing home food service preferred.
Can understand measurements and conversions.
Are team players!
Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.
Can communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Prepares therapeutic desserts and salads as required.
Serves meals in the health center.
Sets up tables in the health center dining room and breaks down same after meal.
Transport hot and cold foods to and from the health center.
Transport all required nonfood items to and from the health center.
Maintains station equipment and work area in safe and sanitary condition.
Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.
Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
