About The Position

Join Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) as a Dietary Aide, preparing and serving meals for residents in a long-term care facility. The role supports HCSG’s commitment to positively impacting the communities it serves and enhancing customer and resident experiences. The Dietary Aide assists with food preparation, serves meals according to residents’ dietary needs and portion sizes, and cleans and sanitizes kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas. The position requires following food safety and sanitation guidelines and interacting positively with residents, staff, and guests. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
Able to lift or carry up to 30 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds; stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
Able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
Able to work around food and cleaning products.
Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required where mandated by state or county law.
Residency within the service area is required.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in food service or a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
