DIETARY AIDE - Full Time
About The Position
Greenwood Care in Evanston, Illinois, is hiring a full-time Dietary Aide. The position pays $18.00 per hour, and the ideal candidate can work from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., including some weekends. On-demand pay is available, subject to conditions. Greenwood Care is a 24/7 facility dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals affected by chronic psychiatric disorders. Residents receive treatment in a residential, homelike setting. The Dietary Aide supports food preparation and service while maintaining a clean and safe work area and complying with applicable food sanitation codes.
Requirements
- Illinois Food Sanitation Certification, or ability to obtain it upon hire.
- Ability to understand, speak, and write English.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Compassion, understanding, and tolerance for older adults.
Nice To Haves
- Some experience in a food preparation environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the cook in preparing and serving food and beverages.
- Coordinate daily dietary services with nursing staff.
- Set up trays and serve food cafeteria style.
- Maintain compliance with applicable state and federal Food Sanitation Codes.
- Keep the work area clean and safe.
