This is a Part Time Position. The Dietary Aide - Server assists with food preparation, food service, and general duties of the dietary department. They are responsible for delivering meals to resident rooms or tables and setting up meal trays in accordance with dietary orders and tray cards, ensuring residents are served proper diet and food preferences in a timely manner. The role also involves maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen, dietary equipment, and dining room, as well as cleaning utensils, dishes, and pots and pans. Proper storage, rotation, preparation, and labeling of food are crucial, along with discarding outdated food. The Dietary Aide partners with dietary staff to ensure equipment is working properly and reports faulty equipment immediately. They must follow facility fire safety, infection control, and hazardous chemical practices, and promptly report any unsafe conditions. Courteous interaction with residents, visitors, and staff is expected, respecting dignity and promoting resident and staff rights. The role includes resetting the dining room for the next meal, ensuring supplies are available, and assisting in storing incoming food and supplies. Attendance at training, in-services, and staff meetings is required, along with performing other assigned duties.
