This role is responsible for assisting the Dietitian in providing nutrition services to a diverse patient population, including managing appropriate meals, between-meal nourishments, and special formulas tailored to individual patient needs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Good communication skills
- High level of service delivery
- Attention to detail
- Computer proficiency
Nice To Haves
- Associate's Degree Dietetics preferred
- Dietetic Technician, Registered [DTR] preferred
- Dietician experience with multiple patient populations 1-2 years preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides nutrition assessment of patients
- Provides diet counseling to patients which includes education, discharge information, tracking, menu selection, etc.
- Assesses patient calorie counts, % of food consumed by patient, conducts meal round, diet restriction monitoring, etc.
- Maintains pertinent records
- Performs other duties as assigned
