About The Position

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for a Diesel Tractor Mechanic at our Wilmington, OH Service Center. As a Diesel Tractor Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 Trucks. Depending on work location, you may also be asked to assist with maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding, and work on forklifts.

Requirements

• Experience with preventive maintenance on Class 8 trucks
• Experience with minor and major repairs on Class 8 trucks
• Experience with AC and Electrical repairs
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Must have own tools
• Must be dependable

Nice To Haves

• Experience working on Cummins & Detroit engines
• Experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System
• 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience
• Welding experience
• CDL
• Class 8 towing experience

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and repairing fleet equipment
• Performing preventative maintenance on Class 8 Trucks
• Performing minor to major repairs on Class 8 Trucks
• Assisting with maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding, and working on forklifts (depending on work location)
