Nextran Truck Centers is hiring Diesel Technicians (Apprentice, Journeyman and Mobile) in Olathe, KS. This role is for individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy keeping trucks road-ready. Requirements

  • Hands-on experience working on diesel engines or commercial trucks
  • Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High School Diploma and/or GED
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class A or B, within six (6) months of employment, as required for the position.
  • Employees must also maintain any required endorsements, certifications, and qualifications necessary to safely and legally operate company vehicles.
  • Ability to utilize computer systems and electronic applications for recordkeeping, communication, scheduling, and other job-related functions

Nice To Haves

  • 4+ years of related experience and/or training preferred

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues
  • Performing preventative maintenance and inspections
  • Completing repairs ranging from minor fixes to major overhauls
  • Disassembling and reassembling components accurately and efficiently
  • Documenting work with clear, detailed service notes
  • Utilize computer-based diagnostic systems, manufacturer software, and electronic tools to troubleshoot, diagnose, document, and repair diesel-powered equipment.
  • Performing other duties as assigned
