About The Position

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Pittsburgh, PA. You will make an impact in the following ways: Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products Maintain own tools

Requirements

• Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
• Workshop Level II experience required
• This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements.
• This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
• A current valid license is required for this role
• This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
• This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
• 3 years driving experience
• This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
• Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age

Nice To Haves

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician
• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
• locally valid driving permit
• A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
• Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Completes complex internal engine repairs
• Performs engine overhauls unassisted
• Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
• Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software
