Diesel Technician
About The Position
We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business in Tulsa, OK. In this role, you will make an impact by completing troubleshooting, repairs, and rebuilds on engine products and other customer equipment in a service shop. You will also perform preventative maintenance, utilize computers and software for diagnostic work, and apply documented procedures to complete complex repairs. This role involves identifying and preparing required parts and tools, completing required documentation, and undergoing ongoing training and certifications on Cummins products. Adherence to Health, Safety & Environmental policies is also a key aspect of this position.
Requirements
- Engine product and equipment repair experience
- Preventative maintenance experience
- Computer and software proficiency for diagnostic work
- Ability to identify and prepare required parts and tools
- Experience with documentation (work completed, time sheets, warranty claims, quality documents)
- Knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures
Nice To Haves
- Additional certifications on new and existing Cummins products
Responsibilities
- Complete troubleshooting, repairs and rebuilds on engine products and other customer equipment in a service shop.
- Perform preventative maintenance based on assessment of engines, including utilizing computers/software in the process of diagnostic work.
- Apply documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
- Completing required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
- Ongoing training and additional certifications on new and existing Cummins products.
- Adhere to all our relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor.
- Applies documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and schedule maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools
- Disassemble, inspect and clean engines and /or engine components
- Assists with completion required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms, via handwritten forms or business system input screens
- Completes training in line with skill and business requirements
- Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
- Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor
