Nextran Truck Centers is hiring a Diesel Technician in Quincy, IL. This role is for individuals looking to develop their profession into a career and are driven by opportunity. The Diesel Technician will keep trucks running and customers moving by performing quality repairs, strong diagnostics, and ensuring jobs are done right. The ideal candidate enjoys solving mechanical challenges and keeping commercial trucks road-ready. Nextran is growing its Quincy, IL team and is looking for technicians ready to make an impact.

Requirements

• Hands-on diesel or commercial truck experience
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Commitment to safety, quality, and reliability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Basic computer skills
• 4+ years of experience preferred

Nice To Haves

• Technical training
• CDL preferred

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues
• Performing preventative maintenance and DOT inspections
• Completing repairs from routine service to major overhauls
• Disassembling, repairing, and reassembling components accurately
• Documenting work clearly in service records
• Using basic computer systems for diagnostics and tracking
• Supporting overall shop operations as needed
• Other duties as assigned
